FILAMENT / FIELD NOTES

Use the complete sliced-job estimate

Keep objects, plates and repeated jobs distinct.

Define one repeatable job

Slice the whole intended plate with its actual profile. Read its material estimate and check what your slicer includes for supports, brim, skirt, purge and prime structures. Do not add an assumed fixed amount for every printer.

Avoid multiplying twice

A four-object plate consuming 120 g is one 120 g job. Three identical plates are three jobs, not twelve at that weight. Rearranging objects can change support and purge requirements; re-slice instead of assuming linear scaling.

Recognize uncertainty

Slicer configuration and actual behavior can differ. Check reserve assumptions and compare future completed jobs against their estimates. We do not parse your files or validate printer settings.

Reference

Prusa’s calculator documentation describes weight/time and G-code inputs. Follow your slicer’s current documentation for its totals. Plan a batch.
